Baha’i House of Worship

The Baha’i House of Worship Temple on Kikaaya Hill is the first and only Mother Temple on the continent. It was inaugurated in 1961 and is opened to all faiths for prayer and meditation. It is surrounded by serene gardens. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel or residence and take you to the temples. (60 mins)

Kalerwe Market

Continue on to Kalerwe Market, one of Uganda’s largest markets, located on Gayaza Road, just 5 kilometres from Kampala city centre. The market is a bustling hub where you’ll find fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats sourced from across the country, including Luwero, Mbarara, Wakiso, and Mukono. It’s a must-visit destination for travellers who enjoy immersing themselves in local culture and exploring authentic food markets. (20 mins)

Gaddafi National Mosque

Proceed to the Gaddafi Mosque, the largest mosque in Uganda and the headquarters of the Islamic faith. You will take a tour of the mosque and hike to the top of the minaret/tower for a 360-degree view of of Kampala whilst receiving detailed information about the city from the guide. (60 mins)

Kabaka's Palace

Visit the Lubiri King’s Palace, established in 1885 on the orders of his Majesty, Kabaka Mwanga II. The Palace is the traditional home of the king of Buganda, where you will receive a guided tour of this grand palace and Amin’s torture chambers. Proceed to Kabaka King's Lake, the largest man-made lake in the Buganda Kingdom, 2 sq km in size and estimated to be 200ft deep. The lake was established in 1885 on the orders of His Majesty Kabaka Mwanga II (120 mins)

Owino Market

Ride through the heart of Kampala to Owino Market. Owino is known for its second-hand clothing, traditional medicines, electronics, and fabrics ready to be tailored. (20 mins)

Rubaga- Cathedral (Passage)

Continue to Saint Mary's Cathedral, Rubaga, commonly referred to as Rubaga Cathedral, the parent cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kampala, the oldest Roman Catholic diocese in Uganda. The Towering house of God stands on top of one of the original seven hills that make up the city of Kampala.

African Village Craft Market

End your tour with a visit to the African Village craft market on Buganda Road, Kampala’s largest craft market. This is one of the best places to buy Ugandan arts and crafts. After your visit, you will be transferred to your hotel or pick-up point. (60 mins)
