Fort Jesus Museum

You will be picked up from the port and taken to Fort Jesus, Mombasa’s oldest museum and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you’ll explore the culture and history of the local people, tracing the influence of Swahili culture and the sultans. Walk through the narrow streets of the Old Town, visit the famous fish market, and see the Mombasa Tusks, a monument over Moi Avenue built in the 1950s. After lunch, visit Haller Park, a wildlife sanctuary created from a former cement quarry. Unlike a traditional zoo, animals roam freely in a large, natural environment.
